What is NewsCord Publishing?
NewsCord Publishing is a research and publishing workspace for independent writers, hobbyists and newsrooms. Collect sources, ask follow-up questions, review cited findings and charts, write articles, create annotated videos and reach your subscribers under your own publication name.
Can I keep researching as I write?
Yes. Research stays beside the article. Ask follow-up questions about saved evidence, compare sources and look for counter-evidence. Keep digging continues source discovery in bounded batches. Review which sources each answer used and its coverage limits before making wider claims.
Do I need my own AI subscription?
No. Built-in Research runs inside NewsCord. Active Writer plans include 1,000 Research credits a month and Newsroom includes 4,000, shared across your publication. Campaign plans include the corresponding publishing allowance. Research credits are separate from campaign credits and newsletter delivery.
How much material can I work with?
Each article’s investigation supports up to 500 active sources, 10,000,000 saved Unicode characters, 100,000 per source and 2,000 conversation messages. Load sources and earlier conversation in pages, search saved evidence and use Keep digging to continue a bounded discovery batch. Each AI call selects at most 16 sources and 24,000 text units of exact passages; request limits may reduce that selection. The workspace reports shortened, skipped or unavailable material. Source selection is a research sample, so check coverage before making broader claims.
Can I turn an article into a video?
Yes. Open Video beside Research in a saved article. Prepare or edit a script, record your camera and microphone or upload a recording, then align saved evidence and pen annotations to spoken cues. Review captions, figures and sources before downloading MP4 or WebM and a separate SRT caption file. Recordings support up to 3 minutes and 50 MiB. AI processing uses the available plan allowances; export runs in your browser.
How is Publishing different from Action Studio?
Publishing has its own sign-up and a workspace focused on research, articles, newsletters and your publication. Action Studio includes the publishing toolkit alongside directed campaigns, supporter and contact management, and campaign email tools. Publishing is included with every Action Studio campaign plan.
Who decides what gets published?
You do. Research proposes findings and visuals for review. Check the evidence, figures and limitations before inserting them into the draft. Publishing and sending an edition remain separate actions under your control.
