Campaign channel

Write to cinema chains and the BBFC about a film

Pick the chains your campaign is about and each supporter writes to the booking, guest relations or press desk of every one you ticked. The same picker offers the British Board of Film Classification, the body that classifies films for UK cinema release, so representations on a classification decision can go alongside the booking requests. The addresses come from a verified address book of twenty chains plus the BBFC, one primary address each, read on the organisation's own official page. One email, and one credit, per recipient per supporter.

Cinema chains1 credit per delivery

What it files

One personalised email per selected recipient, written in the supporter's name.

To whom

Cinema chains in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America, and the BBFC's feedback address, from the verified address book.

What the campaign supplies

  • The chains, and the BBFC if wanted, ticked from the address book.
  • A subject line.
  • The letter template.

What the supporter supplies

  • Their first and last name.
  • Their email address.

Consent

The supporter agrees that a personalised email goes on their behalf to each chain, and to the BBFC if listed, that the campaign includes.

Credits per delivery

1 credit. One delivery is one supporter's copy, so a campaign that writes to three recipients on a supporter's behalf draws three deliveries.

How it is delivered

Addresses are recomputed from the verified address book when the campaign is published, so a tampered draft cannot smuggle a different one through this channel. The letter is held rather than sent, so the supporter can send it from their own inbox first. We dispatch only what they did not send by the deadline, which is fifteen minutes by default, and opening the draft extends it. The recipient gets one letter from a real person, not two.
